About Us

Mission and Vision

At Scope 3, our mission is to improve the quality, transparency, and robustness of Life Cycle Sustainability Assessment through expertise, community building, and innovative software.

Brandon Kuczenski, PhD is an industrial ecologist specializing in life cycle assessment methods and software. His research includes case studies on waste management and recycling systems, as well as green chemistry applications in packaging and consumer products. His current interest is data privacy and data sharing in LCA.

Curriculum Vitae

Kyle Meisterling, PhD is an experienced LCA practitioner and sustainability science researcher. He has been an author or co-author on several highly-cited publications on fuel cycles, food systems, and transportation options. His work has included a deep-dive into the environmental implications of biomass use, including biomass waste utilization. Kyle has worked with corporations, national energy associations, and regulators at the state and federal levels. His current research focuses on developing science-based, quantitative metrics with which to compare and optimize management for sustainability.
